Traditions (sunnats ) in namaaz (i) Lifting both hands as far as the ears when saying Takbire Tahrima. (ii) When the hands are lifted to the ears, the palm of the hands should face towards the Kaaba and the fingers should be separated. (iii) The face should be held straight when saying Takbire Tahrima. (vi) Saying aloud of “Allaho Akber” and “Sami Allahuliman Hamidah,” by the Imam when changing from one posture to another. (v) The right hand should be above the left and just below the navel when the hands are folded. (vi) Reading of Sana silently. (See page 4) (vii) Reading of “Auzo-Billah” and “Bismillah” silently. (viii) Reading Sura Fateh only in the third and fourth Rak’ats of all Farz prayers silently. (ix) Saying “Ameen” on completing Sura Fateha silently. (x) Reading “Subhana Rabiyal Azim” and “Subhana Rabiyal Ala” three times in the Ruku and Sajda silently. (xi) Reading of Qirat as explained in No. 3 of Section C. (xii) The head and the back should be straight whilst in Ruku and the knees should be caught with both hands. (See illustration No. 4.) (xiii) When the Imam says: “Sami Allaholiman Hamida” the followers must say “Rabbana Laka Hamda.” In individual payers both should be said. (xiv) Touching the knees with the hands when going down and waking up from Sajdah. (xv) Sitting correctly in Jalsa (as shown in illustration No.7). (xvi) Lifting the fourth finger of the right hand at the words “Ashaadu-un-laillaha” whilst reading Tashhahud. (See illustration No 10.) (xvii) Reading Daroode Ebrahim after Tashahhud. (See page 53.)
