Prostration of mistakes (Sajda-e-Sahu)

In case of mistakes in prayer either regarding the number of rak’ats prayed by the worshipper or regarding the verses read, rectification is by prostration. If the Imam commits such mistakes, the whole congregation shall make similar prostration. Whosoever forgets one Wajeb in prayer, the prostration is wajeb. (See appendix.) If a man is just near the middle position between sitting and standing when he is in doubt, he should sit. And if above that, he should stand. In case of sitting, no prostration is necessary if the “Rak’ats” prayed, then the “Rak’ats” shall be increased till he thinks that he has prayed more than what is required.

Description of Sajda-e-sahu
After reciting Attahyat, only perform the right salaam and saying, “Allah-o-Akbar,” prostrate two Sajdas and conclude by re-reciting Attah-yat plus Drood, and Due-e-Masura.
