Tahyatul musjid As
the Mosque is the house of Allah, due respect should be shown to it.
The prayer of Tahyatul Musjid is a prayer of respect to the Mosque.
It is said upon entering the Mosque and consist of two rak’ats,
although four rak’ats may also be said. Great rewards have been
promised in the Hadis for the regular performance of this prayer. It
should be said upon entering the Mosque and before sitting down or reading
any other prayer. It is not necessary to perform this prayer every time
a person enters a Mosque, but only once a day or once a week. Many people
usually perform it on every Friday before the Friday service begins. |
