The Alms (Al-Ma’un)

Bismillah-ir Rahman-ir Rahim.
(1) Ara-ayta l’lazi yukazzibu bi’d-Din.
(2) Fazalika’l-lazi yaduu ‘l-yatim.
(3) Wa la yahuddu ‘ala tu’amil-miskin.
(4) Faway lu ‘l-lilmusallin.
(5) A l-lazin hum ‘an salatihim sahun.
(6) A l-lazin hum yura’un.
(7) Wa yamna ‘una ‘l-ma’un.
(1) Have you considered him who calls the judgment a lie?
(2) That is the one who treats the orphan with harshness.
(3) And does not urge (others) to feed the poor.
(4) So woe to the praying ones.
(5) Who are unmindful of their prayers.
(6) Who do (good) to be seen.
(7) And withhold Alms.
