Bism i’l-Lah ir-Rahman i’r-Rahi’m.
In the name of Allah the Beneficent, the Merciful.
THE OPENING (Al-Fatiah). Al-Hamdo li’l-Lahi Rabb i’l-Alamin.
Ar-Rahman i’r-Rahim: Maliki Yaum i’d-Din. Iyyaka na’budo wa iyyaka nasta’in.
Ihdin a’s-Sirata ‘l-Mustaqim, Sirata ‘l-Lazina an-amta’
Alayhim ghairi ‘l-Maghzubi ‘alayhim wa la ‘z-Zallin.
“Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the World; Most Gracious, Most Merciful; Ruler of the Day of Judgment. Thee do we worship and Thine aid do we seek; show us the straight way, the way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace, not of those whose portion is Wrath nor of those who stray.”
