STIPULATIONS (SHARTS) FOR NAMMAZ.

Stipulations (Sharts) for Namaaz

(i) Purity of body from filth. (ii) Purity of clothes. (iii) Purity of place where Namaaz is being performed. (iv) Covering the body from below the navel in the case of men, and the whole body, except for the palms of the hands, the feet and the face, in the case of women. (v) Performance of prayer at the appointed time. (vi) Facing towards the Kaaba during prayers. (vii) The intention at heart (Niyyat) of prayer.
